I was born in Victoria, British Columbia in 1970 and raised across three U.S. States and three Canadian Provinces. I am the father of two and a former executive of a wealth advisory corporation, a private equity firm, and a mining company. My eclectic professional journey has afforded me a unique vantage point on the complexities of global finance and industry, the socio-economic forces that shape our world, and the diverse figures who shape it.
The rich tapestry of experiences has provided me with a unique lens through which I view the future, a perspective that profoundly informed the narrative of my new book, Huxley's Game. Not just a foray into the realm of speculative fiction but a synthesis of my insight into human nature, economic imperatives, and the potential futures they may forge. Through the prism of hard science fiction, I seek to engage readers in contemplating plausible futures shaped by today's decisions, policies, and trends.
I currently reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where I continue to write, inspired by the ever-evolving landscape of science, technology, and humanity's relentless quest for progress and understanding. I trust my work reflects a commitment to exploring how our actions today might shape the world for generations, underscoring the importance of foresight and empathy in navigating the challenges of the 21st century and beyond.
